In the current Panerai collection, the Luminor Due Luna with its 38mm case is the smallest model on offer. Apparently, though, that wasn’t small enough. But instead of just making the Luminor Due even smaller, Panerai opted for a different approach. We know this because the spec sheet of the Panerai Luminor Tre PAM0401 Replica says that the 31mm watch is water resistant to 300 meters, just like a “real” Luminor.
Also, the dial opening is very real. It might be small, but it does have the famous sandwich construction, and that makes all the difference. There’s no glimmering mother-of-pearl this time but a sober, matte, instrumental dial that, however tiny, looks timeless and offers proven functionality.
Is it the size of the watch, its impressive water resistance, or maybe something else? If you guessed the third option, you’re right. Yes, the new Luminor Tre reconnects Panerai with Rolex. The case’s shape, however, very much maintains the instantly recognizable Radiomir style.

It features sub-seconds at nine and the day and date at three. Interestingly, the month is indicated on a rotating disc around the dial’s perimeter.
A little triangle at three points out the current month. It clicks over instantly at midnight when the new month begins. The months are displayed in Panerai First Copy Watches characteristic font. The current month, however, is displayed on its side as it passes the indicator, which is a bit odd. Admittedly, the font would probably have to be too small if it were rotated 90 degrees.
First impressions of the new Panerai Radiomir additions
The new Panerai Radiomir Replica collection contains a little something for everyone, whether it is the more fashion-forward weathered models or the complicated precious-metal versions. My favorite is the California dial by some margin. But while the Brunito eSteel is lovely, I must say that I prefer to see Panerai watches in their most basic form with a polished steel case and a black dial.
